Jana Müller is a qualified Physiotherapist with a clinical master’s in Orthopaedic Manual Therapy.
She has a special interest in distributed clinical training, rural health professions education and
interprofessional education and collaborative practice. She has worked with the Division of Rural
Health (Ukwanda), Stellenbosch University from 2013 and help establish clinical learning
opportunities for physiotherapy and interprofessional education at rural multidisciplinary clinical
training sites in the Western Cape and Northern Cape Provinces, South Africa. Jana is the
chairperson for Rural Rehab South Africa (RuReSA) and a board member of the African
Interprofessional Education Network (AfrIPEN). She is currently busy with her PhD in Health
Professions Education exploring students and graduates’ perceptions of their interprofessional
collaboration experiences after living and working on the distributed training platform.
